Guilin has a lot of benefits, from the vast array of delicious food to the warm and welcoming people. One thing that stands out above all however is the scenery. Guilin, Yangshuo, Longsheng and so many places within arms reach of each other can only be described as heaven on earth. Guilin is also packed full of friendly foreigners all sharing the same life experiences. I had the opportunity last week to travel to Xingping, a town just outside of Guilin with three foreign friends. There we hiked in the mountains, ate fresh strawberries and kumquats from farmers fields and took a bamboo ride down the river. Check out some of my photos bellow as a little taster of just what the scenery in the Guangxi region has to offer.
